Current and announcment

‘Packing the Rajzefiber’ is a show of works created in the diploma studios of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice

As every year, the Faculty of Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice marks the beginning of the summer season with a graduation exhibition at the BWA Gallery. Held around the time of the summer solstice, this exhibition symbolizes not only a moment of rest but also a rite of passage for young artists — a time that evokes attentiveness and openness to new experiences beyond the walls of the Academy.

The exhibition showcases the vibrant world of emerging art, offering diverse aesthetics that reflect the intellectual and creative maturation of the graduates. Many of the works address contemporary issues and provide fresh perspectives on art and society. These artistic expressions may shape future discourses and contribute to a unique visual language of the new generation.

The Faculty extends its thanks to all collaborators and wishes the graduates continued growth, hoping that the insights gained over five years of study become a solid foundation for their evolving artistic identities. May the works in this exhibition serve as a starting point for bold explorations in contemporary art.
